Day 400

Parker loves to bring all his toys over to the slider by the deck. It's so much fun just to sit back and watch all the things he comes up with to pretend. Right now it's nap time for the babies, who sleep better when Parker lays next to them.

Day 399

Now that Parker has snow boots too (more hand-me-downs, gotta love it!), the kids "dress up" outfits include: Jammies, fleece hat, fleece gloves and snow boats. They paraded around the house for a better part of an hour before having to stop for lunch.

Day 398

A little mother-daughter self potrait action going on, here we are dressed and ready to start the morning. (Although it seems neither of us could quite figure out where to look.)

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Day 397

Another hand-me-down, Kaitlyn insisted on wearing the sunglasses during dinner. (Please feel free to sing "I wear my sunglasses at night" while viewing this picture.)

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Day 396

Pam from my office handed down some clothes and one piece was a Tinkerbell tutu. Kaitlyn wore it all the previous evening, then over her pajamas for bedtime and then put it back on after taking off her pjs in the morning. Then she started running around the house because she did not want to take it off to get dressed. Might I also mention, that she insists it's a Cinderella dress not Tinkerbell?

Day 395

Hey Mom, I can hop on one foot. Wanna see me?

Monday, January 25, 2010

Day 394

Now this is where I say, "He's so freaking cute!"

Sunday, January 24, 2010

Day 393

I really feel like I should write something about how she and Parker were putting the babies to sleep in the "room" they'd made behind the big couch . . . but all I really want to say is "She is so freaking cute!"

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Day 392

After getting noodles EVERYWHERE at Changs, Kaitlyn decided it was huggie time with cousin Bailey.

Friday, January 22, 2010

Day 391

Hey, Grandma! I am a future Girl Scout!

Thursday, January 21, 2010

Day 390

My Project 365 scrapbooking kit finally arrived and I've got all my 2009 photos printed out. Now I've just got to get all the photos in place and my journaling done.

Day 663

Parker is very diligent about brushing his teeth every evening before getting into bed - we just need to work on getting the brushing to last the full two minutes.

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Day 389

The new chorus the the "naked dancing" song involves "shake your booty." Parker, however, seems to be convinced it should be "shake your boobie" - needless to say we're just hoping he doesn't say that at day care.

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Day 388

While making some peanut butter apples for a bedtime snack, Kaitlyn decided to help me with my grocery list. Number one on her list, more peanut butter.

Monday, January 18, 2010

Day 387

Les had the day off work but the day care was open, so he had a rare day home by himself. To celebrate the occasion, he dug out the crock pot and cooked up a nice roast with vegetables. And even photographed it. Do I have the best husband or what?

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Day 386

Kaitlyn's love for peanut butter has taken a turn toward obsession. She licks the peanut butter off her bread before eating it - which, shall we say, is a bit messy. The upside of this is we can put peanut butter on other things (apples, bananas) and she'll eat it.

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Day 385

The kids each got a play-doh set for Christmas from cousin Holley and having really been enjoying playing with them. Kaitlyn likes to take the knife and cut up the play-doh into small pieces. Parker likes to use the Anakin Skywalker mold to make "bad guy" and have R2D2 smash him.

Friday, January 15, 2010

Day 384

Grayson, Rhiannon and Kelly came over for pizza and playtime. And playtime included a big mess while brushing their teeth, followed by a round of "naked" dancing and then pajama time. Rhiannon got to test drive Kaitlyn's old swing and Kelly and I got to catch up on the gossip. Fun was had by all.

Thursday, January 14, 2010

Day 383

So I've been playing Bunko the second Thursday of each month for almost a year now. And tonight I won first place! Although Annie and I are the youngest players by about 20 years, it is
a lot of fun and all the ladies are so entertaining.

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Day 382

Both kids have really been enjoying playing with Les in our bedroom before bed time. It's nice because I can get some chores done upstairs. Then when it's time for bed they all can tuck in the big bed for some cuddle time before heading to their own beds.

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Day 381

So if you are going to eat an apple, why not eat it in a laundry basket in the middle of the entry way?

Monday, January 11, 2010

Day 380

So this is where I spend most of my day. Staring at my computer at my slightly cluttered, but organized desk. Two things I like about my desk: it's by a window and it's in a secluded corner of the office so I have some privacy.

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Day 379

Kaitlyn has really been enjoying bath time lately. She's been using the crayons to draw on the wall and then almost immediately wipes all the marks off with the little duck sponge. Draw wipe, draw wipe.

Saturday, January 9, 2010

Day 378

Parker fell asleep on the couch tonight and Missy snuggled up with him. They looked so cute together, I couldn't bear to move them although it was way passed bedtime.

Friday, January 8, 2010

Day 377

Kaitlyn is still infatuated with wet wipes. She constantly snatches them from the changing table and starts wiping things down - in this case, Parker's bed. (Side Note: I find it amusing that she pronounces "Snow White" as "Snow WIPE")

Thursday, January 7, 2010

Day 376

So we are starting a challenge at work, who can walk to Seattle the quickest. We all got pedometers and are using the steps to calculate our mileage. I am surely not going to get there first but I'll get there eventually. Hopefully this will be my jump start to getting back in to shape.

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Day 375

We got finished watching an episode of Handy Manny and Parker decided he wanted to measure some things. He was dissapointed to realize that his Stretch toy didn't actually work like are real tape measure. So we got Les' tape measure out, Les showed him how to use it and then he started measuring all sorts of things: himself, Kaitlyn, Les, the hallway, the door way, the cat. Pretty much any thing that would stand still long enough.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

Day 374

Neither kid has been napping or eating much at the new day care, so their attitudes in the evenings have been less than pleasant. After getting them both fed, I attempted to get their jammies. Parker, however, decided that he was not going to put them on and was going to throw a temper tantrum instead. So I left him screaming in his bed and told him he could come out when he was ready to apologize. Not 10 minutes later, I went to check on him and he as totally asleep. Oh, I hope they adjust to their new day care soon.

Monday, January 4, 2010

Day 373

Today the kids started their new daycare. They seemed quite excited about it when first we got there and Parker did pretty well when we dropped him off in his class. Kaitlyn, on the other hand, was not happy at all and screamed every time I tried to set her down in her classroom. After we dropped Parker off in his class, we walked past Kaitlyn's again and she was alternating crying and stuffing cheerios in her mouth.

Sunday, January 3, 2010

Day 372

Kaitlyn got a set of Disney Princess sheets for Christmas; putting them on necessitated us taking the bumper out of her crib. Ever since we took it out, she has become a very restless sleeper. She is constantly whacking her hands, feet and head on the sides of her crib. I started to consider converting her to a toddler bed, but then I realized she'd just end up on the floor all the time.

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Day 371

When Parker wants to get a way from it all, he goes behind the big wicker couch and over by the back slider to have some quiet time. On this morning, he made off with Kaitlyn's Cinderella figures and acted out the different parts of the movie . . . except in his version the Prince beats up the evil step-sisters.

Day 370

What better way to ring in the New Year than by banging on some drums?
