Day 459

Uncle Mike must have tired a dozen times to bounce the ball into the hoop. Finally Parker decided to try it and made it in on his first try. NBA here he comes.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

Day 458

Since Les was in Utah on business, Grandma and Uncle Andy came over to help dye Easter Eggs. Both Andy and Parker had fun with their "egg-piriments."

Monday, March 29, 2010

Day 457

Parker was thrilled when he realized that Les had spelled out his name in tater tots.

Sunday, March 28, 2010

Day 456

I had lunch with a couple of old friends from grade school. It was hard to believe that Jennifer & Ricki, whom I met in the first grade, are all grown up and have families of our own. It's been nearly 20 years since eighth grade graduation.

Saturday, March 27, 2010

Day 455

I helped Mom out all day with an advanced outdoor training class for Girl Scout leaders and I swear we did not preplan the matching outfits.

Friday, March 26, 2010

Day 454

The Strawberry Shortcake hat that Kaitlyn is wearing was given to me for a 25th birthday present from my former boss Julie when I accidentally let it slip at work that I dressed as Strawberry Shortcake for somewhere around five Halloweens in row. Since it never really fit my giant head, I am glad that Kaitlyn could wear it for Hat Day at daycare.

Thursday, March 25, 2010

Day 453

Les celebrated a Blazer victory at the Rose Garden; they beat the Mavericks 101 to 89.

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Day 452

Our first meal out on the deck for 2010 - tacos.

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Day 451

When your closest friends are teachers, you have to take a day off during Spring Break week for some adventures right? Carrie, Mindy and I had grand geocaching adventures from Portland to Astoria and back.

Monday, March 22, 2010

Day 450

No matter how old you are, I should think it impossible for a girl to wear a tutu without jumping and spinning around.

Sunday, March 21, 2010

Day 449

It's time to start breaking out the grill and the bubbles - spring is officially here.

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Day 448

Much to the kids' delight, Tobey and Sean were at Saturday night dinner. Actually, much to my delight too because they help entertain the kids so I can eat.

Friday, March 19, 2010

Day 447

Kaitlyn hair has gotten long enough to graduate from pig tails to braids. She's really good about standing still and letting me braid her hair in the morning. Now hopefully she will stop pulling the rubber bands out and coming home from school with a head full of tangles.

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Day 445

The kids' shirts read: Kiss Me. I'm magically delicious.

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Day 444

Parker's new sneakers arrived. Since they were Buzz Lightyear "stompy" shoes, he felt he needed some more Buzz accessories to complete the look. (Stompy in Parker-speak means they light up when he stomps his feet.)

Monday, March 15, 2010

Day 443

Spaghetti and tacos. They are just about the only two things that both kids will consistently eat. At least Parker is really mastering the art of twirling the noodles on to his fork.

Sunday, March 14, 2010

Day 442

Since Les had a Blazer game to attend, Carrie came over and brought the ingredients for Rice Krispie treats. She had intended that we make green ones for St. Paddy's day, but Parker wanted red ones too - so it was a bit more Christmas-y than originally planned.

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Day 441

Clearly, Kaitlyn was attacked by the peanut butter sandwhich she was having for lunch.

Friday, March 12, 2010

Day 440

Les got stuck an extra day in Louisville due to thunderstorms, so Mindy volunteered to go to Sweet Tomatoes with me and the kids. Parker took this lovely shot of Kaitlyn (and a nice one of Mindy too, but I said I wouldn't post that one.)

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Day 439

Since Les was still out of town, I had to resort to the old "take your picture in a mirror trick" to get a shot of my new haircut.

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Day 438

Another rainy day in Oregon . . . at least Kaitlyn likes wearing her rain coat.

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Day 437

Les had another business trip to Louisville, this time for the final RFP for the agency's biggest client. And since his boss was going too, they got to take the company plane.

Monday, March 8, 2010

Day 436

Since changing daycares in January, breakfast in the car has become breakfast at the kitchen counter. It's still waffles though.

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Day 435

So I took this picture with my iPhone, it definitely proves "the best camera is the one you have with you" rule. I had a Girl Scout training up at Camp Mountiandale. I was on parking attendant duty and snapped this picture as I was waiting for the leaders to arrive

Saturday, March 6, 2010

Day 434

The morning was so nice that while Les was doing some yard work, I took the kids to the park. Uncle Mike joined the adventure too. We found a "fort" in the woods and a geocache under a bridge and that we even made it to the park.

Friday, March 5, 2010

Day 433

Sometimes, "I'm sorry" is said best with flowers. And Parker will tell you that after someone says they're sorry you HAVE to say "That's okay."

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Day 432

This is a shot of downtown Portland and PGE Park from atop the Vista Ridge tunnel. Mindy, Carrie and I went on a Mazama Ramble which looped from REI in the Pearl District, then climbed up to Governor's Park and back down again. It was a perfect spring evening, cool and dry - just right for a ramble around town.

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Day 431

We bought a bag of Clementine oranges and Kaitlyn has really enjoyed peeling them. Of course she wants to do it "all by myself." If we could only get her to eat them as enthusiastically as she peels them . . .

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Day 430

I had Stamp Camp with the girls tonight and these are the three cards we made. I've been going to this workshop once a month now for about two years. What I need to remember is that I should really be sending the cards to my friends and family!

Monday, March 1, 2010

Day 429

Kaitlyn's fascination with wiping things continues. She gets so excited when it's time to wipe the counter down, it's hard to pull her away.
