Miss Carrie is always up for reading the kids a few books before bedtime. Based on the way the kids sit so nicely and pay attention, I think they much prefer her to read them than me. Which is one of the many (MANY) reason I like it when Miss Carrie comes over.

Day 488

To show their support for the Blazer's in tonight's playoff game, both the kids wore their Blazer apparel that Santa brought them for Christmas. While Parker is clearly hamming it up for the camera, I love this photo of Kaitlyn in the background.

Day 487

I made Les get off work early so that we could run to Best Buy and pick up my new camera. It's my first dSLR. I got the Canon Rebel T2i and I love it. I have no idea what it does yet, but still I love it. Once I finish reading the manual, hopefully I'll get some great photos. Look forward to a bunch of random shots of things around the house and yard as I try to figure out all the settings.

I adore Cirque du Soleil. Thankfully Les let me spend an obscene amount on tickets so that we could have the VIP experience. This year the VIP room had a photographer so we could actually get a photo of the two of us together. And, it almost goes without saying . . . the show was amazing.

Les had an extra ticket to the Blazer's playoff game and since it was an early game he was able to convice his dad to go with him.

Longer days and the hint of spring-like weather means it's time to get some yard work down. Thankfully, Les has such a great helper.

What a good sport! I sent the camera to work with Les and asked "pretty please" that he take a picture at his desk.

I love that Kaitlyn's got her very own cubbie and hook at day care - it's so cute to see all the photos of the kids lined up.

Poor Parker has got a stomach bug. And even though he only threw-up once, he insisted on carrying the bowl around with him . . . just in case he had to "go bleh."

Parker woke up with a severe case of bedhead - good Lord, he needs a haircut.

The kids were up early so we headed down to the beach to get a little sand time before we had to pack up and head home.

Here's the view from Les' and Job's seats at SafeCo Field. Les thought that it would be good to catch a few games early in the season, so that he could see Ken Griffey Jr play.

Les and Job went to Seattle to watch the Mariners play, so I decided to get the girls together and take the kids to the coast. I rented a house in Lincoln Beach and brought along Grandma, Carrie, Mindy, Jennifer & Baby Ian too. We had quite the stunning view of the ocean right off the back deck.

Walking around in Mom's shoes is fun - even if we need the wall to hold on to so that we don't fall over.

Both Parker and Kaitlyn have been enjoying the real fruit smoothies that Les has been making in the evening for dessert.

Parker put his slippers on all by himself and then said, "Mom, you need to take a picture." I've sure got him trained, don't I?

As huge Conan O'Brien fans, Les and I deemed it necessary to drive down to Eugene and catch the first show on Conan's "Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television" comedy tour.

The garbage disposal died earlier in the week, so Les went to Home Depot, bought a new one and installed it - with Parker supervising the whole time, of course.

At the open house at the kid's daycare, I was surprised to see Kaitlyn cruising around on the school's tricycle. We don't have any "pedal power" toys at our house, but she just jumped on like a professional and started zooming around the play yard.

The Boys turn 14 this year. Fatty is going blind, but still manages to get around fairly well. Other is going strong and I think he now out-weighs his brother.

Parker really can't wait for spring weather to finally arrive; he's taken to playing soccer out on the deck.

Les and the guys went to the Rose Garden to pick their seats for next year's Blazer season and were treated with a opportunity to see the 1977 Championship trophy.

The Haines family came over for Easter Brunch and then we headed over to the Deemer house for Easter Dinner. This was the first year that we did Easter baskets for the kids and they were thrilled at finding the Easter Bunny had left them toys AND candy. The afternoon egg hunt was still successful despite the fact that Tobey threw up in the middle of it.

Parker grew grass at school! He was so proud of his little egg - we had to put it in with all the Easter Eggs.
