On our front porch, it's kind of hard to get a photo of the front door. But it's been officially painted, going from a hunter green to a wine red color.

Okay, so I know it's not the best picture . . . both Kaitlyn and Parker wanted to take pictures with my little camera. To forestall an argument, I gave Kaitlyn the little one and brought out the medium one for Parker. And while they took pictures of each other, I grabbed the big camera and took pictures of them.

Kaitlyn's been my go to girl lately for my Picture Of The Day. I suddenly realize that I haven't had the camera out yet and she sees me with it and goes straight into super cute mode.

Slowly but surely the house is getting painted, today the crew was working on the white trim.

Les download the trial version of Lego Batman for the XBox and the kids were pretty entertained by watching him play.

There was a Salem geocaching event, so Mindy, Carrie, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Rachel and I headed down to the state fair grounds to check it out. The weather was spectacular as we explored the grounds. Kaitlyn and Rachel were too cute running around together. After the event fizzled out, we went over to Riverfront Park in Salem, where we rode the carousel and the did a super complicated multi-cache.

We had an afternoon Billiards Party at my office to celebrate the success we've had in the 3rd Quarter. Here's Mason showing me how it's done.

Parker and Les went to Costco and Parker insisted on bring me home some pick flowers. Seems like I may be raising him right after all.

Day 634

Kaitlyn had her school photos today and was in a modeling mood I guess. During dinner both her and Parker hammed it up for the camera, letting me snap tons of super cute photos. This one has to be my favorite.

With Les off in Lousiville, I was able to finish and uploaded my very first Shutterfly album - here's the cover. I used an Ali Edwards album template and used pictures from Parker's year four (June 09 - May 10). I am pretty please with the results and can't wait until I get the printed book in the mail.

After picking up the TV from Grandpa's house over the weekend, Les was finally able to get all the pieces hooked up. Now every time we lay in bed, it's as if we are at a drive in movie.

The fall rains have officially started in Oregon - walking out to the car on the way Saturday dinner, the kids didn't seem too upset to have to put their hoods on.

Parker decided to bring his laptop to school for show and tell - he looked so professional "working" on the way to school.

So, seriously, could he be any cuter? I snuck up behind him and called his name so I could snap a picture. Instead of quickly turning around, he slowly turned his head and gave me these sideways eyes. Apparently, he is catching on to my tricks.

The caption on Parker's drawing says "My everyday heroes are my family and fire fighters. My family is in a fire truck with a long latter on top." He's got all the people on the truck labeled with the family names.

With all of the siding we are having replaced on the house, there are ladders all over the place. The one sitting out on the deck was too much for the boys to pass up and up the scrambled on the the roof. Don't they look pleased with themselves?

It's book fair week at the kid's daycare, so during dinner the kids were perusing the selections to make sure they picked out just the right books.

Parker's new rock masterpiece is entitled "Going Down To the Earth." Based on his rockin' guitar moves, I am sure it's going straight to the top.

Les is packing up our TV from the bedroom to go over to its new home at my mother's house - we are getting a hand-me-down HD TV from Les' dad.

Miss Carrie came over for dinner and we all ordered out for Chinese. Kaitlyn was working very hard with the chopsticks; it may have taken her two hands, but she did manage to eat her fill.

With the start of the new school year, Parker got to move up classrooms at Kindercare - he's now in Miss Mia's classroom. So far he seems to like it; he's always like being with older kids.

My grade school friend Jennifer and her daughter, Rachel, joined us Sunday for an outdoor adventure. Mike and Andy lead all the small children down to the "waterfall," while all the adults trailed behind. Parker's favorite part of the adventure was the banana slug he got to touch. Afterwards the children took naps, while the adults played some cards & dominoes.

Grayson & family joined us on Friday afternoon and then Saturday morning all three kids rode their bikes around and around and around . . .
