Day 1130

Parker's loose tooth has inspired a renewed interest in tooth care.  The kids must have spent 15 minutes brushing together.

Day 1129

Parker has his first loose tooth!  It's the bottom front right tooth and he is pretty excited about the tooth fairy visiting soon.

Day 1128

Parker wanted to know how tall he was, so he asked Kaitlyn to measure him.  I thought this was an interesting measuring technique.

Day 1127

Parker and Les got to attend Blazer Fun Day at the Rose Garden.  There was inflatables for the kids to play on and tours of the locker room for the adults.  They also got to get basketballs signed by the plays and pretend to be sportscasters on the set of Comcast SportsNet's Home Court show.

Day 1126

Les was selected to be part of the pregame "show" at tonight's Blazer game.  He got to go down on the court and get a t-shirt from one of the players.

Day 1125

We went to Izzy's for dinner and Parker wasn't feeling well.  He eventually fell asleep on my lap without eating anything at all.  Poor little guy.

Day 1124

The doors to the hall closets started warping in an unexplainable manner.  So home improvement master Les ran over to the Home Depot and picked up some new doors.  Quick as a flash he had them installed and they look great.

Day 1123

Other has been pretty accepting of the new puppy, but it freaked him out a little when Lucy jumped up in the chair with him and cuddled up right next to him. He eventually relaxed and they took a nice snooze together.

Day 1122

Kaitlyn's love of sweeping and wiping down the counters has been combined with her new found passion of swiffer wet mopping.  I think our floors have never been this clean.

Day 1121

We met up with Rebekah and Nickolas (and Annie too) at Clackamas Town Center to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D.  It was the kids' first 3D movie; neither was too impressed with the 3D and Kaitlyn only wore the glasses for about 30 minutes.  But it's a Disney movie, so the kids had a good time any way.

Day 1120

The kids and I have embarked on an adventure.  We are going to watch all six Star Wars movies, starting with Episode 1.  The kids have seen parts of the movies, but never actually sat and watched any of the movies in their entirety.  Truth be told, I may be more excited than the kids, but they are enjoying the movie so far.

Day 1119

I got my hair cut and colored today, it's a lovely shade of dark red.  And since I am growing it out, I just got it trimmed and shaped.  Love my stylist, Stacey, she always does great work.

Day 1118

All the recent rain/snow has caused a small leak the ceiling/wall.  We haven't been able to pin point the exact location of the leak, but the floor is wet.  We pulled the carpet back so everything will dry faster.

Day 1117

Okay, it's not the best picture . . . but just after 1:30 am this pickup truck tried to drive up the snowy hill and failed.  It slid backwards down the hill, crashed into a minivan parked on the street in front of our house and then ended up with it's back tires in our yard.  The most frustrating part was there was no reason for the guy to be trying to drive up the hill, he lived on the other side of town, he was just trying to see if he could.  Guess not.

It started to snow as we were dropping Kaitlyn off at daycare, so she decided to try and catch some in her mouth.

Martin Luther King Jr Day might be my new favorite holiday.  Both Les and I have the day off, but the kid's daycare is open.  So Les and I went to Benihana's for lunch and then went over to the new Cinetopia and saw the new Sherlock Homes movie.  A good date.

Day 1114

Our first snowfall of 2012 - only about a quarter of an inch.  The weather did not stop Les and Parker from heading over to Grandpa's house to wach some football.

Dinner at the Deemer's (Tacos!) with our favorite cousins.

Okay, prepare yourself of lots of cute pictures of the dog.  I mean she's just too cute!  Here she is hanging out with me in the den while I work on the computer.

Parker's Winter Gala was tonight and he dazzled with a fabulous rendition of "Frosty the Snowman."

Lucy snuck into bed with Parker, cuddled up with him and fell right asleep.

Winter Gala day for Kaitlyn's class at Kindercare.  They sang "I Like to Eat Apples and Bananas."  Kaitlyn did very well, she'd been practicing at home for several weeks.

Les got new headshots as work today - this was my favorite.  He's been working there nearly twelve years!

Day 1107

The Averett's came over to be among the first to meet the new dog.  Kaitlyn and Rhiannon serenaded us with song from their "stage."  Of course, as soon as I started recording them, they decided to be done.  Oh well, I'll settle for the cute picture.

Les had to go run some errands and he just happened to stop at a pet store . . . and that's where he met Lucy.  He called me and I brought the kids over to meet her and then she came home with us.  She's part beagle and part chihuahua and all adorable.

Now that she's four, Kaitlyn has moved up to the next class at Kindercare.  Here she is posing with her new cubby.

As a season ticket holder, Les was excited to see that he was flying home in a Portland Timbers themed plane.  PTFC!

Les is traveling again this week.  Here is a glorious sunset down in San Diego.

As a Christmas gift I bought my mom tickets to see the show Cavalia, which was a Cirque du Soleil type show but with horses.  It was amazing!

Headed over to spend New Year's Day with Les family.   One of my resolutions is to get myself in the picture more, at least I am off to a good start.
