No trip to Long Beach is complete without a  picture next to the giant frying pan.

Day 1189

Feeling particularly miserable, I made to drive to Long Beach, Washington to have scrapbooking weekend with the Ladies.  Sick or not, I wasn't going to miss it.  After dinner and getting settled, I attempted to teach Annie how to French braid - which is hard to do when you don't have a third person with long hair!

Day 1188

When Kaitlyn was sent home sick from daycare, I was only too happy to come and pick her up.  Both of us went home and cuddled in bed because neither of us were feeling good.

It seems that Lucy and Other have taken over Parker's bed and there is no room for Parker anymore.

Blazer game for Les and Job tonight.  One of the pregame rituals is to pass the game ball down through the stands to let the fans touch it for good luck.

A recent Michael Jackson themed episode of Glee has dominated the kids' musical tastes.  We have watched all the dances over and over . . . and I've got a MJ playlist set up on my iPhone so we can enjoy the music in the car too.

Les took the kids up to Rosemount to play at the park while I got some quiet time in the house - a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning.

For Susie's birthday, we went to the Outback for dinner.  Parker and Kaitlyn were more than happy to help her finish her birthday dessert.

Friday night dinner at the pub, Kaitlyn works on her coloring page before the food arrives.

It's offically spring, and yet, we woke up to a good dusting of snow.

Les and Parker walking in to school to drop Parker off for morning meeting.  He'd like to walk by himself, but mom and dad aren't quite ready for that yet.

After using the treadmill about 4 times a week since the beginning of the year, I ran my first 5k - the Shamrock Run.  And I ran it 10 minutes faster than my goal time.  It was great to have my co-workers waiting at the finish line for me.

Parker got to bring home Plaid Bear from school for the weekend.  He went to dinner with us and walked around the mall, then even went with us to Fred Meyer's.  At the end of the weekend, we'll put together a journal of all his adventures.

Les took the day off work because he got tickets to Round One of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament happening at the Rose Garden.

Kaitlyn discovers the joy of dunking a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie in a glass of milk.  Best Daddy Ever - made the cookies and showed her how to dunk.

After reading his book to Kaitlyn, Parker helped her read it back to him.  Breaks my heart to see them being so cute!

You know you are running out of things to take pictures of when you photograph your breakfast!  But here it is, standard weekday breakfast for the kids French Toast style Eggo waffles with peanut butter.

Getting the kids to take a bath has been a battle lately - especially Parker.  So I've been letting the kids use my tub, even though it makes washing their hair a pain in the behind.

I cleaned out the kids closets earlier in the week and Kelly stopped by to pick up a bag of hand-me-downs for Rhiannon.  Apparently, Rhiannon was very excited and tried on most of the clothes all at once.  Kelly snapped this photo and texted it over to me.

Pretty much every Friday since her third birthday, Kaitlyn has brought Baby Abigail to school for show and tell.  Today was no different. However, poor Baby Abigail has fallen and bumped her head, so she now sports several band aids on her head.

Jan loves Costco cake (who doesn't), so I picked one up to surprise her for her birthday.  The bigger surprise was that we gave it to her the day before! Most of the office joined in singing "Happy Birthday" because everyone loves Jan.

Since I officially signed up to run the Shamrock Run (5K), I realized that I would have to have some clothes appropriate for running outside and in public.  So here is my new jacket (with pocket in the sleeve to hold an ipod) and running pants.

To celebrate Mindy's birthday, Carrie and I joined her at the Melting Pot for a delicious girl's night out.  As always, the service, the food, and the company was outstanding.

Papa Murphy's has new mini pizzas that come "naked" and the kids got to put all their own toppings on - the kids loved it.

While eating a peanut butter sandwich for lunch, Parker lost that wiggly tooth.  The Tooth Fairy brought him two dollars - a paper dollar and a gold dollar.

Les and the kids went to Fred Meyers for groceries and came home with a donut maker. Not that I should complain, because Les makes a delicious donut.

There is something that about self portraits with Instagram . . . I don't automatically hate pictures of myself.
