Day 1220

Kaitlyn has become quite the helper with Lucy.  She like to hook her up and take her out to go potty, but her favorite is to give her treats when she does good.

Day 1219

To celebrate Ian's birthday we headed up the hill for dinner and playtime with his cousins.  All the kids got a long very well and the boys especially like playing basketball with Les and Job.

Day 1219

What you might not be able to see in the fuzzy pictures is Les and I in the VIP lounge at Cirque de Soleil's show OVO.  The show was fantastic and we were especially lucky because I was able to rope Carrie into babysitting the kids while we were at the show.

Day 1277

Don't tell Daddy that Mommy let us jump on the bed!

Day 1216

Uncle Andy introduced Kaitlyn to sunflower seeds (dill pickle flavored!) at Parker's t-ball game . . . I think she's addicted, she ate nearly half the bag.

Day 1215

Guest photographer Kaitlyn snapped this shot of Les and I at Parker's t-ball practice.

Day 1214

Smiling and ready to begin the day.

Day 1213

Now that spring seems to be hanging around, it's time for dinner on the deck again.  Tonight it is hot dogs.

Sunday, April 22, 2012

Day 1212

The kids and I grabbed some lunch and headed to the park for a chance to expend some energy before nap time.

Saturday, April 21, 2012

Day 1211

Mom and I headed down to Portland State to the Girl Scouts Annual Meeting, where Mom got the Thanks Badge - the top honor for a volunteer.

Day 1210

The kids love it when Carrie comes over because she is always willing to be part of the evening entertainment.  Tonight it was face painting.

Day 1209

Annie gave us a whole bag of hand me down hair ties from Rebekah.  Kaitlyn picked out a different one for each braid and then added several headbands and clips to complete the look.

Day 1208

Even though the Blazers keep dissapointing Les and Job,  they are still attending all the home games.  However, they have decided not to buy season tickets next year.

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Day 1207

Parker's games and practices all start at 5:00pm, so that means Les and I have to leave work by 4:00pm to get him there on time.  Thankfully, both of our workplaces have been flexible with our schedules.

Day 1206

Parker and Les went to get their hair cut tonight . . . I think that Parker's ended up a bit shorter than we intended.  But it is super cute and very fuzzy!

Sunday, April 15, 2012

Day 1205

The Andersons moved right up the street from us (Hooray!) and the invited us up for dinner.  Before eating we walked the kids to a local park to let them play for a bit.  It will be nice having them so close.

Day 1204

For opening weekend, all the games were held at the High School on turf fields.  Grandpa and the whole Deemer family came out to watch Parker's game.  Afterwards, the whole family headed down to BJ Willy's for dinner.

Friday, April 13, 2012

Day 1203

After dinner at our favorite little cafe, the kids got to play Play-doh with Miss Carrie before bedtime.

Thursday, April 12, 2012

Day 1202

Parker's first game when wonderfully.  He got on base for each at bat and he got to play catcher.  Grandma and Uncle Andy came to watch and had dinner with us afterwards.  We just won't mention that he got clotheslined as he was running from second to third . . . and we really won't mention that it was a girl who did it!

Day 1201

Practice in the rain never hurt anyone, right?  The day before their first game all the boys were pretty excited to get to really hit and run the bases.  Parker really liked playing first base.

Day 1200

Pulling in to drop Kaitlyn off at daycare on a rainy Tuesday morning.

Monday, April 9, 2012

Day 1199

I am not quite sure how she does it, but Kaitlyn always manages to have a smile on her face when she wakes up.

Sunday, April 8, 2012

Day 1198

The kids found candy and DVDs in their Easter baskets this year.  After having a big breakfast with the Haineses (followed by a nice nap), the family headed the McIntosh house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt.

Saturday, April 7, 2012

Day 1197

The sun was shining for Parker's second T-ball practice.  Kaitlyn and I sat along the third base line enjoying the sun and watching Parker's first at bat.

Friday, April 6, 2012

Day 1196

In what is becoming an Easter tradition, Carrie came over and helped me and the kids dye Easter Eggs.  Thankfully she has the patience of a saint.

Day 1195

It hailed at Parker's first t-ball practice, but fortunately they had a covered space.  The coach told them all to "take a knee" and they had their first team meeting while the hail bounced of the metal roof.  All the kids looked so serious and paid very close attention.

Day 1194

Kaitlyn and Mommy are home sick again today, but Parker finally went back to school.  I did have to go into work for a couple of hours to get some work done, but the pretty much didn't let me have any human contact and rushed me out as soon as possible - safer for everyone that way.

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

Day 1194

Les' new favorite game on the iPad is Draw Something.  Here is is drawing of Ariel for his work buddy Josh.  He is quite the artist!

Monday, April 2, 2012

Day 1192

All the lovely Oregon spring rains have brought to the forefront a leaky roof.  Being a home owner is so fulfilling sometimes . . .

Sunday, April 1, 2012

Day 1191

I got back from Long Beach (felt so sick on the drive) just in time to send Parker and Les off to a Blazer game.  Go Blazers!
