Parker and Kaitlyn headed to school - it's picture day for both of them.  Kaitlyn had to bring a family photo to school today, so she is showing it off.

It's time to say goodbye to the old washer and dryer.  We purchased them back in 1999 when we first moved into the Ankeny townhouse.  However, the dryer is not actually drying any more.  We purchased a new set at Lowe's and the new dryer it being delivered today and the washer next week.

After dinner the kids built a fort in the bedroom and when they weren't fighting, had a great time.

Parker's first field trip with his new class was a down to the boat dock near the school and I got to chaperon.  All the kids got binoculars and we were looking for birds.

The kids and I took Jan from my office to the circus, because she'd never been before.  We had wonderful ringside seats - and Jan was kind enough to snap this photo of me and the kids.

At Parker's second soccer game, he scored is very first goal.  It was the only goal that was scored in the whole game!  Cheetahs win.

After soccer practice the Anderson' joined us at Lil' Cooperstown for dinner and then we stopped at the puppet show in the parking lot.

Other is pretty much an indoor only class, but when the weather is nice, he likes to sneak out for a few hours.  He rarely leaves the yard though - which is a good thing because he probably couldn't find his way back.

Les, Kaitlyn, Parker and a bag of peanuts head over to Grandpa's house to watch some football.  Which leaves Mom home by herself . . .YAY!

Parker's first soccer game - the boys chose the name Fire-Breathing Cheetahs for their team.  Although there is no official score kept, the Cheetahs did score more goals.  Go Team!

After dinner at the cafe, Carrie came over and we made brownies for dessert.  Once again the kids were asleep before the brownies were ready to eat . . .

Lucy and Other have so much fun playing together - you'd think the cat would get tired of the dog jumping on him and biting him all the time, but he provokes the dog.  And then when they are all done, they usually nap together.

Soccer practice for Parker.  I have to say that I am really enjoying the other parents on Parker's team.  They as a group are more friendly than the baseball parents and we all have a nice time chatting on the side lines during practice.

 After everything is cleaned up and the cars are all packed and ready to go, the last thing we do is take a group photo.  I love this tradition!

With the help of Uncle Andy, Parker quickly became quite a dominoes player. (He also quickly picked up on Uncle Andy's habit of peeking at other people's dominoes).  Chicken Foot is always a little strategy and a lot of luck, but Parker was doing better than most of the adults.

Parker, Grayson and Kaitlyn all snuggled up on the cot together while the grown ups played dominoes late into the night.
