Day Four

So 2008 ended on a sad note. One of our cats passed away, quite suddenly. Although "Lady" was actually her name, we never called her that. It was, of late, Deedee or Deedle. Here name went through so many variations over the years. My favorite thing about her was that she would fetch caps from the tops of water bottles (or beer bottles for that matter). I remember waking up many a nights with her sitting on my chest after dropping a bottle cap on my face. Quickly we learned not to throw it off the bed, she'd just bring it back again. What I'll miss most is how she used to sleep on my pillow, wrapped around my head & purring me to sleep.
